Correct and regular care can extand the life of your jewllery. In order to enjoy your valuable and beautiful pieces of jewellery for as long as possible, you should follow these rules:
• Rings and other pieces of jewellery should not be worn when doing housework, gardening, exercising or bathing (salt and chlorinated water).
• The jewellery should be removed before going to bed and before showering.
• Perfume or hairspray can fade the shine of the jewellery and dampen its brilliance. We recommend applying perfume, hairspray or other cosmetics before putting on the jewellery.
• Pearls and stones must not come into contact with perfume or hairspray. Their surface will be damaged by alcohol or other solvents.
Jewellery that is set with Peals should be stored separately from other jewellery. Ideally, all jewellery should be kept in a cloth bag so that they do not get scratched
• Soap and make-up residues can be removed with an ultrasonic device if the jewellery is not set with stones or peals. The ultrasonic device should not be filled with harsh cleaning products. It is best to use water in combination with a neutral detergent. To clean easily tarnished areas, use a silver cleaning cloth or an eraser. We refer to the instructions when using the silver cleaning cloth.
• Oxidised jewellery should never be cleaned with a jewellery silver bath or ultrasonic device, as the oxidation can tarnish. However, the surface can easily be polished with a jewellery cleaning cloth.
• Coral, turquoise, opal, pearl, mother-of-pearl, rose quartz, tiger's eye, gold river, jade, malachite, howlite, lapis lazuli, moonstone, labradorite, chocolate moonstone, kyanite, amazonite and agate are not suitable for cleaning in the jewellery silver bath.
• Jewellery made from stainless steel never discolors, is waterproof and very long lasting.
• Jewellery made from copper does not require cleaning.
• Only precious metals may be cleaned with a silver cleaning cloth. Leather, natural stone and fabric ribbons, should not be cleaned in a silver cleaning bath or ultrasonic.
• All of our jewellery is shipped in a box or cloth bag. The storage protects it from light and moisture when not in use.
